What Can My Counselor Help Me With?
Students can make appointments to see their counselor for a number of reasons, including:
Personal/Social Issues College or Career Planning Academics
We are here to help you with any questions or problems you may have. Our doors are always open to students, families, staff, and community resources. We welcome your visits!
How Do I Make An Appointment?
To see your counselor, just stop in the Guidance Office before or after school or during your passing time or lunch. Tell one of the secretaries you would like to make an appointment to see your counselor, and they will help you find a time that works for you. You will then get a pass to keep with you for the scheduled time. On the day of your appointment, show your teacher the pass to leave and check in at the Guidance Office counter. It's that easy!
How Can I Get Help With Academics?
Peer tutors are available for all students in any subject. Students can go to the NHS Media Center for Peer Tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 2:10pm-3:15pm. No sign-ups necessary. Teachers are also available during this time. Students are also encouraged to talk with their teachers and counselors if they are struggling. |
