COURSE NAME: Global and Cultural Studies & Leadership III
CREDIT HOURS: One (1) elective credit per trimester

REQUIRED TEXT/MATERIAL: Global and Cultural Studies/The Middle East in Transition; Leadership Education III. Students are required to bring a notebook, pen/pencil, and folder to class every day
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a two trimester course designed to enhance student’s appreciation of cultural, geographical and economical factors that have shaped the region as well as the regions impact on the world as a whole. Students will also engage in guided discussions covering the following topics: religion, natural resources, conflict, local government and U.S. interests. Leadership III focuses on Life Skills and Career Opportunities; teaching the values of community service, responsibility, character and self-discipline
UNIFORM DAY: The wear of the Air Force uniform is required for this course. Students will be fitted with a complete uniform, required to conform to AF personal appearance standards, and wear the uniform one day per week, usually Thursday. Failure to wear the uniform on three occasions is grounds for removal from the program.
