COURSE NAME: Science of Flight & Leadership II
CREDIT HOURS: One (1) elective credit per trimester

REQUIRED TEXT/MATERIAL: The Science of Flight; Leadership Education II. Students are required to bring a notebook, pen/pencil, and folder to class every day.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This two trimester course is designed to acquaint students with the Aerospace Environment – the atmosphere, weather elements; Human Requirements of Flight – physiological of flight, protective equipment; and Basic Principles of Flight – basic aeronautics, aircraft motion and control. Leadership II covers Effective Communication Skills, Personal Awareness, Team Building and Leadership Styles.
UNIFORM DAY: The wear of the Air Force uniform is required for this course. Students will be fitted with a complete uniform, required to conform to AF personal appearance standards, and wear the uniform one day per week, usually Thursday. Failure to wear the uniform on three occasions is grounds for removal from the program.
